The machine's brain — and its computer — from one team
DK Software Mekatronik is an engineering company developing automation and software for industrial machines. We are based in Basaksehir, Istanbul, Türkiye.
What we do
We write the software that runs machines for machine builders and manufacturers. The work has three layers: PLC and HMI on the shop floor, the motion layer driving the servos, and the PC-based application that runs the machine. One team handles all three.
The industry norm is to split these layers between different suppliers. The panel builder wires the cabinet, one programmer writes the PLC, another develops the PC application. When something fails on site, everyone points at someone else and the machine waits. Because we take on the whole chain, that does not happen.
Our centre of gravity is the PC side: CAD/CAM interfaces, DXF and DWG processing, nesting optimisation, camera measurement and machine vision, databases and reporting. Most automation companies do not go there — and that is what separates us.
How we work
- We listen first. No quotation before seeing the machine, the operator and the production flow.
- We say what is not needed. On some machines a PC layer is unnecessary cost; we tell you instead of selling it.
- We hand over documentation. Source code, schematics and lists stay with the customer. Another company can maintain your machine.
- We finish on site. The job is not done until the machine is accepted under real production conditions.
- We stay reachable. Remote connection for fast response, plus development support for new requirements.
What we believe
The operator is right
However advanced a machine is, a feature the operator does not understand does not exist. We design screens around the job, not around the system architecture.
No tuning without measurement
"Looks fine" is not an acceptance criterion. Motion tuning, filling accuracy and measurement systems are judged on data.
A machine lives ten years
We choose hardware you can still service in ten years, not whatever is newest today. Spare part availability comes before catalogue specifications.
No black boxes
A machine delivered without documentation holds its owner hostage. Schematics, lists and source code are handed over.
Export projects
We work across Türkiye and support machines exported abroad. For machines shipped overseas we build the remote connection infrastructure from the start, so most problems are solved by connecting rather than flying out. Interfaces are prepared multilingual from day one.
