SCADA and data acquisition

Measuring what the machine produces, when it stops and why — instead of guessing. And turning the collected data into a report someone can act on.

The point of data collection is not a chart on a screen. It is a basis for a decision: which machine is the bottleneck, which downtime reason dominates, why one shift falls behind.

What we collect

  • Output count, cycle time, production per shift and per order
  • Downtime events and reasons, with an operator entry screen
  • Efficiency (OEE) from availability, performance and quality
  • Energy, air and water consumption
  • Product-level traceability: which part was made with which parameters
  • Alarm history and maintenance intervals

How we build it

Data is taken from the machine's PLC or its PC application. On new machines this is designed in from the start; on existing machines a few extra sensors and a small collector unit are often enough. Data is stored in a local database and pushed to ERP or MES systems where required.

Reports are designed for whoever reads them: the production manager's screen is not the operator's screen. Too much data is as useless as none.

Start small

You do not need to bring the whole factory online at once. Starting with the two or three most critical machines and expanding once the data is trusted works better — and the investment shows its return earlier.
